Meals on Wheels of Sarasota recently added three new members (Debra Douglas, Ralph Hall and Jim Hastings) to its board of directors and elected Jody Maxwell as treasurer. Maxwell is a certified public accountant and a partner at Mercurio & Maxwell; Douglas is a retired insurance industry executive; Hall is a retired attorney and educator; and Hastings is a retired restaurant and commercial real estate investor. Board members are tasked with developing a strategic long-term plan that will ensure that residents who struggle with shopping and cooking for themselves, or for their children and families, will have access to healthy meals.
