Estelle Crawford, the president of the Pines of Sarasota Foundation, will retire on Saturday, Sept. 30, after 11 years of service to the organization. During Crawford's tenure, the foundation raised money to assist in the transformation of the Pines of Sarasota campus and services, including the construction of the Jean and Alfred Goldstein Pavilion, the creation of the Manser Rehabilitation Center and the Ann Goldstein Shear Delight Salon, the development of the Ready & Steady falls prevention program and a campus-wide beautification project. The foundation was founded in 1990 to support the needs of the Pines of Sarasota Rehabilitation & Senior Care Community, which provides outpatient and short-term inpatient rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, memory care and assisted living.
