Café L’Europe

This St. Armands Circle landmark will cook up an entire gourmet meal for your canine companion. Meal service begins with tap or bottled water and is followed by a choice of steak tartare, filet mignon or chicken, each served with steamed baby carrots. For dessert? Dogsters ice cream treats in peanut butter and cheese or mint, or a biscuit du jour. (From $2.50 to $18, depending on your order.)

Downtown Sarasota Farmers’ Market

Dogs sometimes outshine the produce at the Saturday-morning market, where purebreds and mutts alike rub noses and bask in attention from shoppers. Pack a doggie bag at home and when you both need a break, grab your own grub from one of the vendors, take a seat at one of the tables in front of Salute! restaurant and refresh and rehydrate with your buddy. (You remembered to bring a water bowl, right?)

Sabrosa

The former downtown Sarasota location of Word of Mouth is being reimagined as Sabrosa, a restaurant and bar that aims to become the Laurel Park set’s neighborhood eatery. The new owners understand that downtown dwellers like to walk over with their dogs, and the outdoor patio will remain as pup-friendly as ever.

Motorworks Brewery

Forget Happy Hour: Motorworks Brewing hosts a monthly Yappy Hour in its Bradenton beer garden. Every third Sunday dogs get free treats and their humans get $1 off draught beers and $3 off Bloody Marys and mimosas.

Siesta Key Oyster Bar

Enjoy the quintessential Sarasota experience with your dog: Settle into an outdoor table on the SKOB deck, order Gulf shrimp and an ice-cold beer, and watch the world pass by while you listen to live music and feel the salty Gulf breeze ruffle your hair—and your pup’s perky (or droopy) ears.

Casey Key Fish House

Locals, snowbirds and quite a few dogs converge at this popular waterfront restaurant. Some come by land, but many boaters accompanied by their seagoing pets pull up at the dock, hop off the boat and settle in for sunset with a Rum Runner or mango daiquiri. Heaven.
