The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will host a lunchtime discussion with Bob Turner, the recently retired president and publisher of the Bradenton Herald, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20. During the event, Turner will reflect on his 45-plus years in the newspaper business, discussing what he thinks has changed, as well as the future of local newspapers and how he believes it will impact the public relations industry. The luncheon will take place at the Manatee Community Foundation, 2820 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for guests. Register online.
