Sarasota Memorial Hospital is the eighth best hospital in the state of Florida, according to a new ranking published by U.S. News & World Report magazine. The hospital tied with the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston for the eighth spot. The top three hospitals were the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Tampa General Hospital and UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. The rankings were based on surveys of more than 125,000 physicians across the country who were asked about where they would send their most challenging cases.
