Florida saw a record number of visitors during any six-month period in the state's history during the first half of 2017, according to an announcement issued by Gov. Rick Scott. Almost 61 million visitors came to the state between January and June, a 4.1 percent increase over the same period in 2016. Of those 60.7 million visitors, 53.2 came from the United States, 2.2 million came from Canada and 5.3 million came from the rest of the world.
