Sharon Kunkel, the president of Sarasota's Wordslinger Marketing & PR, was recently named to the 2017 Joe Curley Rising Leader Class of the Florida Public Relations Association. The Rising Leader award was created to identify and honor association members who demonstrate leadership traits, along with active involvement in local chapter activities, programs, functions and events. Kunkel, who launched her firm in May 2014, is the vice president of communications for the Central West Coast Chapter of the association.
