Class Covers Environmentally Friendly Lawn, Landscape Maintenance

The University of Florida and Sarasota County are providing a training in green practices in lawn and landscape management and pest control.

The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Sarasota County's sustainability department are providing a training in green practices in lawn and landscape management and pest control from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota. Best management practices covered include reducing pollution resulting from fertilizer or pesticide application. Registration costs $10 per person and includes a continental breakfast. Lunch is not included.
