Sarasota County recently started work to restore Sarasota's Historic Courthouse, the 91-year-old building that houses the main office of the Sarasota County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller. Work includes restoration of iron work, repainting the exterior and more. The building is expected to remain open and fully available to the general public during construction. The project is expected to be completed by next spring. The courthouse is located at 2000 Main St., Sarasota.
