The Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is holding a grand opening ceremony for its new Newtown clinic from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5. In its first year, the Internal Medicine Practice, located at 1825 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Sarasota, will be able to provide primary care to as many as 1,800 new patients, especially those with chronic health issues. The mission of the practice is to reduce racial health disparities in the medically underserved Newtown area.
