The eighth annual Harvey Milk Festival will run May 11-13, culminating with a 10-band music festival in downtown Sarasota's Five Points Park on Saturday, May 13. The music portion of the festival is free. The nonprofit festival's mission is to honor and celebrate the life of Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay Americans elected to public office, by fostering emerging talent in musicians and artists who support diversity and reject discrimination. The music festival will include food trucks, bars, vendor booths and a children's area hosted by Selby Library.
