Sarasota's Hershorin Schiff Community Day School recently hired Iris Starr to serve as its community advancement leader. In this role, she will focus on donor relations to help increase resources available to the nonprofit Jewish day school, which serves students from preschool to eighth grade. Starr has leadership experience in the local philanthropic community, with development posts at the Sarasota chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Jewish Housing Council Foundation and Art Center Sarasota. The school also recently added three new members to its board of trustees: Gregory Farrington, Jean Farrington and Elaine Rose Glickman.
