Sarasota's first Sprouts Farmers Market is scheduled to open to the public at 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at 8330 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, in the Pelican Plaza shopping center. Sprouts is offering a variety of deals and bargains for shoppers who visit the store on day one. The store offers fresh produce, meat and seafood, bulk foods, vitamins and supplements, packaged groceries, deli foods, baked goods, dairy products, frozen foods and natural body care and household items. The chain's headquarters is in Phoenix and it operates more than 250 stores in 15 states with more than 24,000 employees.
