In order to prepare students to meet the increasing demand for green careers, EU Sarasota has installed a number of energy-saving devices including a rooftop solar array, two solar trees, a wind turbine, a weather station, and a solar teaching lab. Everglades University Sarasota’s dedication to green initiatives has earned the campus the Outstanding Business award and Vice President King the 2016 Outstanding Green Community Leader award from the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
