The Sarasota Tiger Bay Club is hosting a panel discussion on Sarasota as an "international sports mecca" on Thursday, May 4, at Michael's on East, 1212 S. East Ave., Sarasota. The panel will include David Rovine, the vice president of the Baltimore Orioles; Meredith Scerba, the executive director of the 2017 World Rowing Championships; and Kimberly Rae Aldrich Farrell, the chief operating officer at Fox Lea Farm. Tickets are $25 for Tiger Bay members and $30 for non-members. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.; the panel begins at noon.
