Sugar, the Dylan McDermott series shot in Sarasota with Ringling College of Art and Design students and graduates and coproduced by the Ringling College Studio Lab and Semkhor Productions, will premiere at St. Petersburg's Sunscreen Film Festival this Friday, April 27. The series chronicles the life of a young woman as she navigates the perils of being on her own in a small city while struggling to realize her potential. Three episodes will be shown at the Sunscreen festival, while a private Sarasota screening will be held at the new Ringling Studios Soundstage and Post Production Complex on Saturday, April 28, for production principals, supporters and crew.
