The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee is adding risk management and insurance to its undergraduate degree programs in the College of Business this fall. The major joins general business administration, management, accounting, marketing, finance and information technology. The program arose out of meetings with local insurance company executives and after the college introduced a minor in the field last fall. Currently, only one other public university in Florida offers a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance.
