Representatives from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity are visiting cities around the state to introduce its new State Information Data Exchange System (known as SIDES), a national program that allows employers from across the country to respond to state unemployment insurance requests for information. CONNECT’s Employer Portal is Florida’s claims management system, which allows employers to manage and respond to correspondence related to the state's Reemployment Assistance Program. The system reduces paperwork and is intended to help businesses save time and money. The department's Sarasota presentation takes place 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, and is repeated at the same time Thursday, April 20, at CareerSource Suncoast, 3660 N. Washington Blvd., Sarasota. Attendees must RSVP via [email protected].
