Event Aims to Raise Money for Coastal Protection

The Florida Institute for Salt Water Heritage (FISH), the Sierra Club and Suncoast Waterkeeper are hosting Brunch for the Bay at noon this Sunday, March 5, to raise money for the Waterkeeper, a nonprofit, to cover legal costs that arise in coastal protection cases. The groups' mission is to bring together the local environmental community, to provide the financial resources needed to act, to ensure environmental rules are enforced and to protect local quality of life. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here. The brunch will be held at the Bradenton Yacht Club, 4307 Snead Island Road, Palmetto.
