The median sales price for Sarasota County single family homes increased to $250,000 in January, while the median in Manatee County increased to $279,000, according to new numbers released Wednesday by the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. The median sales price for condos rose to $239,900 in Sarasota County and to $175,000 in Manatee County. Closed sales for condos in the two-county area are up by 11.6 percent over January 2016, while single family home sales showed an 8.2 percent decrease. Overall, distressed sales decreased by 51.8 percent decrease from a year earlier, according to the association.
