Halfacre Construction Company, which has offices in Sarasota and Punta Gorda, recently completed a new 139-foot-tall tower at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. Halfacre began the project in November 2015; it required more than 30 contractors and more than 100 construction workers. Halfacre has turned over the tower to the airport, which will now work with the Federal Aviation Administration to commission the new facility. The tower is anticipated to be operational by next summer.
