Oodles of poodle love at Sarasota fund-raising event

'Puttin' On the Poodle' luncheon set for Nov. 20 at Michael's on East

a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 20 at Michael's On East in Sarasota. The event raises money for the nonprofit's mission of protecting poodles, poodle mixes, and other small dogs, across the Sunshine State. Since its founding in 1994, Florida Poodle Rescue has placed more than 9,000 abandoned or abused dogs into "forever family" homes. Tickets for "Puttin’ On the Poodle" may be purchased online at floridapoodlerescue.org, or by calling (941) 371-6798. 

The "Puttin' On the Poodle" luncheon, now in its fourth year, has become the nonprofit's largest annual fundraising effort.  The event will include a silent auction, as well as a live auction of vacation getaways to Anna Maria Island, Key West, and North Carolina. Scott Anderson will serve as master of ceremonies and auctioneer. Entertainment will be provided by Roy Michaels, former lead singer of  The Brooklyn Bridge Band.
