Sarasota's FCCI Insurance Group recently named James Michael Welch to the company's board of directors. Welch has been associated with FCCI as an agent for more than 30 years and was chosen because of his appreciation for and understanding of FCCI’s history and legacy, in addition to his industry knowledge and agent perspective. Welch served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and began his insurance career in Florida in 1973. He eventually opened his own insurance agency, Commercial Insurance Marketing Inc., along with his wife, Nadine.
