The Manatee Community Action Agency, a nonprofit that provides services to thousands of families in five counties, recently announced that Suncoast Community Capital, a financial and tax assistance nonprofit, has joined the organization. As a result of the merger, Suncoast Community Capital becomes the Center for Financial Stability, a division within the Community Action Agency. Tim Dutton, the former Suncoast Community Capital executive director, has joined the agency to lead the new division and the agency's Board of Directors will also invite former Suncoast Community Capital board members to join the group. The Center for Financial Stability will concentrate on job readiness, entrepreneurship development, volunteer tax assistance and more.
