Caldwell Trust Company recently hired Dennis Shanahan as an operations associate. Shanahan will assist the operations division with overall day-to-day financial transactions and also work directly with third parties—banks, brokers, depositories and fund companies—to maintain client assets. Shanahan will be based in the company’s Venice headquarters. A native New Yorker, Shanahan has wealth advisory and private banking experience. Prior to joining Caldwell, he was in charge of overseeing day-to-day operations for a private investment advisory firm and also worked at some of the largest financial institutions on Wall Street, including Prudential, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and U.S. Trust. Caldwell is an independent trust company with offices in Venice and Sarasota. Established in 1993, the firm currently manages more than $850 million in assets for clients throughout the United States.
