After a public vote, organizers behind the 2017 World Rowing Championships announced Wednesday the winner in its contest to name the event's pelican mascot: Scully. Almost 1,400 people participated in the online vote, which allowed participants to choose between Scully, Rowan, Oarson, Paddles and Skylar.
