Chemical Company Receives Manatee County Tax Exemption

The Manatee County Commission on Tuesday approved a tax exemption worth $1.2 million over eight years for Allied New Technologies 2, Inc.

The Manatee County Commission on Tuesday approved a tax exemption worth $1.2 million over eight years for Allied New Technologies 2, Inc., which "will locate a new business in Manatee County, create 53 jobs with average wage of $52,850, and capital investment of $53.8 [million]," according to the commission agenda item. Allied is a subsidiary of Allied Universal Holding Corporation, which "supplies water treatment chemicals to the majority of Florida's municipalities and utilities." The company owns six manufacturing facilities in Florida, Georgia and Mississippi.
