USF Sarasota-Manatee enrollment for fall 2016 totaled 2,071 students, above the record of 2,038 students set last fall. Undergraduate enrollment rose 2.2 percent and the number of graduate students increased 4 percent compared with fall 2015. The newly released numbers, which include non-degree seeking student registrations, reflect USFSM’s growth after becoming a four-year institution in 2013. In addition to the enrollment gains, USFSM's freshman class had a combined 3.9 GPA that exceeds the 3.77 and 3.78 GPAs of the previous two years.
