Chris and Heather Catarzi dated for seven and a half years before tying the knot at Southern Oaks in Sarasota. The two celebrated their nuptials with a charming reception underneath the trees and the twinkling lights.

 How did you meet your husband?

We met for the first time at a mutual friend's house. I was home on summer break from college.

How long have you two been together?

Chris and I have been together for seven and a half years now.

What was the planning process for the outdoor wedding like?

To be honest, it was easy and stress-free for me. However, my amazing wedding coordinator Brittany Eagans--who also happens to be a dear friend of mine--did all of the planning. I tell everyone that having Brittany was the best decision I made.

 Your wedding dress is beautiful! What was the dress shopping experience like?

I loved my dress. The shopping experience was special for me. I had decided that instead of taking a lot of family or friends to shop, I would just take my mom. I loved having this time with her--she knows my style so well and she is always honest with me. The best part was that no one else saw the dress until the day of the wedding. 

Do you have any favorite moments from your wedding that stand out to you?

Putting my wedding dress on with the help of my mom and sisters; walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Chris for the first time; being announced as Mrs. Catarzi for the first time; and dancing the father-daughter dance.

What is your favorite part about being newly married?

Being with Chris! We decided early on in our dating relationship that we wouldn't live with each until we were married. It is the best feeling to be able to go to bed and to wake up with your best friend.
