Canada Med Services, a locally owned discount prescription sourcing company, is selling junior EpiPens for $180, three times less expensive than the brand’s list cash price.

The manufacturer that makes the EpiPen, Mylan, has faced outrage in the past week over a surge in the price of the product, which is used to treat potentially life-threatening allergic reactions. An uninsured person would pay a cash price ranging from $650 to $800 at most Sarasota retail pharmacies.

Canada Med Services is located at 4119 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota.
