Jeffrey Standring was recently named Mental Health Community Centers' new executive director. Before joining Centers’ leadership team, Standring was executive director at Lucida Treatment Center, a 60-bed substance abuse and mental health outpatient program in Lantana, Florida. Mental Health Community Centers was founded over 40 years ago; it operates four drop-in centers in Sarasota County, providing daily training and support programs. The purpose of the organization is to provide services that assist persons with mental illness develop the skills and coping abilities needed to lead a healthy and productive lifestyle within the community.
