Biostatisticians at the University of Florida and other institutions are estimating that the number of non-travel-related Zika infections in Florida could reach 400 before the end of the summer. The projections come weeks after the Florida Department of Health identified the nation’s first locally acquired cases of Zika in Miami-Dade County. A case of locally acquired Zika was reported in Pinellas County on Tuesday.
