Stewart Materials has successfully supplied 307,000 tons of custom beach sand to Longboat Key as part of the town's beach renourishment project, completing its work two months ahead of schedule. Stewart Materials is a specialist supplier for large-scale, complex beach renourishment projects. The company has supplied 1.2 million tons of sand to municipalities on both Florida coasts in less than three years.

Dredging work that is part of the Longboat Key project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
