The Republican candidates for the Sarasota County Commission District 1 seat will square off during a luncheon debate hosted by the Sarasota Tiger Bay Club on Thursday, Aug. 18, at Michael's on East, 1212 S. East Ave., Sarasota. The candidates are local businessman Mike Moran and Frank DiCicco, a Florida Supreme Court mediator and sales executive for Sharp Electronics. The luncheon begins with registration at 11:30 a.m.; the debate follows at noon. Registration is $23 for members and $28 for non-members.
