The Association of Fundraising Professionals' Southwest Florida Chapter is collaborating with the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to host the 2016 Fundraisers Forum from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 15, at the State College of Florida's Lakewood Ranch campus, 7131 Professional Parkway, Sarasota. The annual conference gathers more than 150 regional fundraising and planned giving professionals for a half-day of networking, lectures and workshops. The 2016 forum features Kent Stroman, president of the Institute of Conversational Fundraising at Stroman & Associates. Kent’s three-hour hands-on workshop will introduce his program, “Conversational Fundraising.” It will also couple philanthropic research with practical tools for development professionals to use to elevate their fundraising results while engaging in Relationship Fundraising.
