The WEDU Arts Plus program on WEDU Public TV last week featured a segment on the Sarasota Keys. The segment was taped in coordination with the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County, which placed those four spinet pianos on downtown Sarasota streets with the invitation that everyone can be a musician—even for a few minutes.

Producers talked to several artists who painted the pianos. Also featured is Donald Gould, the homeless man who last year became an international sensation when he sat down at one of the pianos positioned in front of Clasico on Main Street and was taped playing Styx’s Come Sail Away.
