Local Business Mentoring Group Earns National Recognition

Manasota SCORE, a nonprofit that conducts business startup and development workshops and meet-up sessions, recently earned a top three spot in the 2016 SCORE Chapter of the Year Awards. The chapter’s 106 percent growth in services contributed to its tie for second place among SCORE’s 320 U.S. chapters. Manasota SCORE now has more than 70 mentors providing free business mentoring to small businesses in Sarasota and Manatee counties. It expanded services significantly over the past year and continues to develop innovative education programs and partnerships.
