The law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, which has offices in both Tampa and Sarasota, recently created a new practice group dedicated to marijuana law. The passage of Amendment 2, permitting the medical use of marijuana in Florida, as well as other developments in Ohio and across the country have spawned an emerging area of law and policy surrounding legalized marijuana. The Shumaker practice group includes David Axelrod, Douglas Berman, Rachel Goodman, Andrew Herf, W. Jan Pietruszka, Erin Smith Aebel and Mechelle Zarou.
