The Wilson Wood Foundation granted Forty Carrots Family Center (fortycarrots.org) $10,000 to help underwrite classes for parents ordered by the court to participate in parenting education. The gift will help offset increased costs associated with new, more stringent requirements set forth by the 12th Judicial Circuit.

A new Sarasota Music Club (sarasotamusicclub.org) and Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota (artistseriesconcerts.org) partnership has created Suncoast Music Scholarships, which will offer up to $20,000 in music scholarship awards through a competition open to Sarasota and Manatee high school students. Four awards are available for graduating seniors: First place, $5,000; second place, $4,000; third place, $3,000; and fourth place, $2,000. These awards are to be used for advanced music education.
