7902 Sanderling Road

A Gulf-front estate in the exclusive Siesta Key community of Sanderling sold at the end of March for $5.5 million, making it the highest-priced residential sale in Sarasota County in the first quarter of 2015. The 8,395-square-foot home at 7902 Sanderling Road, built in 1987, sits on two acres with more than 150 feet of beach frontage. Marcia Salkin and Stacy Hanan of Michael Saunders & Company were the listing agents; Joel Schemmel of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty was the selling agent. The property last sold in 1993 for $1.97 million.

602 Owl Drive

And a four-bedroom home at 602 Owl Drive on Bird Key, built in 2012 by Murray Homes, sold in late March for $4.55 million. The bayfront home has more than 5,500 square feet of interior space, plus an outdoor living space with large pool and waterfall feature. Roger Pettingell of Coldwell Banker represented both the sellers and buyers. The previous home that stood on the property sold in 2010 for $1.4 million.
