Encouraging news for people seeking the country club lifestyle in Lakewood Ranch: The inventory of existing homes for sale in Lakewood Ranch Country Club and Country Club East is starting to uptick, says Holly Pascarella of Keller Williams Luxury Homes International. And lots of new construction is keeping resale prices stable.

“Home sale prices increased significantly between 2011 and 2013, which encouraged owners to put their homes on the market,” she says.

Home owners don’t have to join the country club, but if they do, they can choose among three golf courses and, once the new, more casual Country Club East clubhouse is completed by year’s end, two clubhouses.

“We see a lot of movement from people who live in Lakewood Ranch, who after a few years want something new or different, and from Northerners coming down because of the cold weather,” Pascarella says. She lives in the country club community with her three children. “What I love is the nice mix of ages,” she says. “You have families, some retirees, empty-nesters, working professionals and seasonal people as well.”

Pascarella sees more strong growth ahead. “The new mall is just one more selling feature,” she says. “When I’m selling a home in Lakewood Ranch Country Club, it’s also about selling the amenities of the whole community.”
