Like so many other locals and visitors, artist John Pirman is a regular at Saturday’s downtown farmer’s market, where he buys just-picked produce, flowers, baked goods and plants. With a convivial, festive atmosphere, the market, he says, provides “not only some of the best shopping in town but a wonderful sense of community.”
