Photo of the Week: Lunar Eclipse over the Ringling Bridge
This week's Photo of the Week is a reminder that nature is fleeting, as shown by this fleeting blood moon over the John Ringling Bridge.
When conditions are just right, and the Earth blocks the sun’s light from reaching the moon, the effect is both stunning and extremely rare. This effect is sometimes called a ‘Blood Moon’ and the photographer was extremely lucky to capture such a lovely shot, as this lunar eclipse in 2013 lasted only 27 minutes.
