Biz Makeover: Alison Bishop
Alison Bishop, president of Living Walls Furniture and Design in downtown Sarasota, often advises clients to take a fresh look at their interiors to gain a new perspective. This time it was Alison’s chance for a fresh perspective on her everyday style.
Alison’s Goal: “I needed a new set of eyes to help me see my current style. I also needed some pointers so that as I shop for clothes this year I will know what makes me look my best.”
Jackie’s Goal: “Alison prefers an easy, low-maintenance style, and shopping is one of her least favorite things to do. My inspiration for her look came from her design sense and love of modern furniture. I wanted to implement color, clean lines and modern fabrics into her wardrobe. To keep her style simple and chic I paired a boldly colored, tailored tunic in stretch linen with a pair of slim, ankle-length, stretch crepe pants and suede ballet flats with simple detail. I offset the bold color of the tunic with a green camisole, added a pair of her earrings to play up her modern, artistic style and left the neckline uncluttered with one of her ‘floaty’ necklaces.”
Alison’s Take: “This was a great experience. It was fun having Jackie in the driver’s seat since shopping can be overwhelming. I LOVE my look! I felt this style was totally me, the right amount of casual, but still put together.”
