Susan BurnsFeeling lethargic in the steamy August heat? Have we got an energy booster for you! In this issue, you’ll read about the enthusiasm and determination young entrepreneurs are bringing to the region.

We profile Sarasota’s Jules Price, who is ranked the No. 13 seller among SendOutCards’ 200,000 representatives worldwide (and she also tours the world as a vocalist in the New York City Ballet production of Jerome Robbins’ West Side Story). Our August innovator is Jason Riley, a sports trainer, who’s been working with top athletes such as Derek Jeter, and has co-developed a nutritional supplement product. Venice-based Freedom Boat Club CEO John Giglio has turned his boating service into the nation’s largest. And finally, Jesse Biter in our “God, Politics and Business” feature has co-launched Dealers United, bought two major pieces of property in downtown Sarasota and is becoming a big player in state and national Republican politics.

Keep those young people coming!
