Brasserie Belge's Chevre Chaud SaladThe Place

Brasserie Belge at 1990 Main St. Choose from the comfortable, upscale dining room and bar area with wooden chairs and white linens, or the ultra-urban sidewalk seating in the shade of adjacent buildings, looking out on bustling upper Main Street and Hollywood 20.

The Crowd

Suit-and-tie professionals meeting over a lunch of steamed mussels and gin-and-tonics, stylish downtown shoppers en route to a movie matinee.

In & Out

A three-course lunch will fill a full hour-long lunch break. For a quicker meal, opt for a single course like the chevre chaud salad.

The Food

The Express Lunch—just $8—offers soup or salad with a choice of entrées like the classic Croque Monsieur (grilled bread, ham and cheese) or grilled chicken breast Archiduc with creamy mushroom wine sauce. Try the thin-sliced warm roast beef with rich Béarnaise, which comes with Belgian frites and homemade mayonnaise. Not part of the deal (but totally worth it) is the Belgian coffee with vanilla ice cream. Don’t even bother to ask for low-fat anything here.
