Florida Studio Theatre: Vintage POP! and Triple Play

FST reopens after a long Covid-induced hiatus with, first, the return of its resident improv troupe, FST Improv, in the full-length Triple Play; and second, the new cabaret show Vintage POP! starring Carole J. Bufford delivering hits by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Beatles in a decades-spanning production in the Keating Theatre. Sarasota County Fair

March 19-28

With Covid safety guidelines in place, the 2021 fair is still planning to open its doors at the fairgrounds on Fruitville Road, with such traditions as dairy cattle, swine, rabbit and goat shows, live music, dog shows, a whip cracking contest, racing pigs and, of course, midway rides on the schedule. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, and tickets are available both at the gates and online at sarasotafair.com.

Sarasota Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show

Sarasota’s long-running free water skiing shows by the Ski-A-Rees have been absent since the pandemic hit, but now they have returned, each Sunday at 2 p.m. at the team’s location near Mote Marine, with masking and social distancing in place. The Players Centre: Sylvia

Sarasota Native American Film Festival

The second annual fest takes place virtually and presents more than 20 cinematic works related to the experience of indigenous people in the Americas, including the world premiere of Finding Angola: Manatee’s County First Black Community, about the Bradenton community founded by escaped slaves and Seminoles in the early 1800s. Choral Artists of Sarasota: You’ll Never Walk Alone

The choral ensemble continues its 42^nd season by streaming online this mix of uplifting songs from Broadway musicals, including Carousel, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity and more. Sarasota Garden Club: Symphony in the Gardens
