 Asolo Rep: Camelot

March 18-April 1

Don’t let it be forgot, that once there was a spot—on the Asolo’s Terrace Stage—for a special, slimmed-down adaptation of the original Lerner-Loewe hit about King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Sir Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table. For tickets, visit asolorep.org.

Florida Studio Theatre: Vintage POP! and Triple Play

March 24-May 2; and weekly starting March 20

FST reopens after a long Covid-induced hiatus with, first, the return of its resident improv troupe, FST Improv, in the full-length Triple Play; and second, the new cabaret show Vintage POP! starring Carole J. Bufford delivering hits by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Beatles in a decades-spanning production in the Keating Theatre. Sarasota County Fair

March 19-28

With Covid safety guidelines in place, the 2021 fair is still planning to open its doors at the fairgrounds on Fruitville Road, with such traditions as dairy cattle, swine, rabbit and goat shows, live music, dog shows, a whip cracking contest, racing pigs and, of course, midway rides on the schedule. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, and tickets are available both at the gates and online at sarasotafair.com.

Sarasota Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show

March 20

Sarasota’s long-running free water skiing shows by the Ski-A-Rees have been absent since the pandemic hit, but now they have returned, each Sunday at 2 p.m. at the team’s location near Mote Marine, with masking and social distancing in place. Check it out at skiarees.com, and get ready for some family fun on the water.

The Players Centre: Sylvia

March 24 and 25, 27 and 28

Remember A.J. Gurney’s comedy about a dog (played by a human) who comes between a husband facing a midlife crisis and his wife? The Players Centre for Performing Arts offers it outdoors at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime, starring Jim Floyd, Alyssa Goudy, Amanda Heisey and Brian Finnerty. Urbanite Theatre: Monsters of the American Cinema

March 18, 19 and 20

As we post this, tickets still remain for the staged reading of this play by Christian St. Croix, at Selby Gardens’ Historic Spanish Point campus, at 6 p.m. each evening. Sarasota Native American Film Festival

March 19-28

The second annual fest takes place virtually and presents more than 20 cinematic works related to the experience of indigenous people in the Americas, including the world premiere of Finding Angola: Manatee’s County First Black Community, about the Bradenton community founded by escaped slaves and Seminoles in the early 1800s. Choral Artists of Sarasota: You’ll Never Walk Alone

March 18-April 15

The choral ensemble continues its 42nd season by streaming online this mix of uplifting songs from Broadway musicals, including Carousel, A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity and more. Guest soloist Ann Morrison stars in the show, filmed at Selby Gardens, accompanied by pianists Michael Stewart and Joseph Holt. Sarasota Garden Club: Symphony in the Gardens

March 21

The Garden Club, at 1131 Boulevard of the Arts, presents an outdoor string quartet from the Sarasota Music Conservatory at 2:30 p.m. on its west lawn, featuring violinists Sean O’Neil, Milene Moreira and Daniel Urbanowicz and cellist Nadene Trudell. It’s also a great chance to stroll the gardens. Masks and social distancing; bring your own snacks. $25; visit sarasotagardenclub.org.

Art Center Sarasota

Four virtual exhibits open this week, with personalized docent-led Zoom tours also available by calling (941) 365-2032. On view: Micro & Macro: Work by Savannah Magnolia; Spotlight: Work from the Personal Collection of SARTQ Artists; Small Works from the Great Monthly Pottery Trading Club; and Revealed, an open juried exhibit of work in all media. Halo Arts Project: Time Lapse
