City of Sarasota to Host Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic at Van Wezel

Vaccines will be administered by appointment only based on where users are in line.

By Staff February 25, 2021

The City of Sarasota will host a drive-through, appointment-only Covid-19 vaccination clinic this Saturday and Sunday at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Appointments are being scheduled for individuals who previously registered and were next in line on the Everbridge system, Sarasota County’s first-come, first-serve vaccination standby list. Approximately 4,000 vaccines will be administered over the two days to Florida residents who are 65 or older, and high-risk, front-line health care workers who are eligible. Only those with an appointment at the Van Wezel clinic will be permitted on site. Drivers should bring their completed vaccine screening and consent form and a valid ID or proof of Florida residency. No walk-ups will be accepted at the drive-through clinic. Individuals who are ill or who have tested positive for Covid-19 should not come to the site.
