The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature: Badlands to Bradenton: Lessons from the Field

Did you know that Manatee County teachers have been exploring the badlands of Nebraska on paleontological excavations during their summers off? They have, and visitors to the Bishop can see some of their uncovered fossil finds in this new exhibit, including views of extinct mammals, early camels and oreodonts—herbivores of a range of sizes. Sarasota Ballet: Company B and Brandenburgs

The company continues with its digital programming season, streaming full ballets of these Paul Taylor works, the first choreographed to selections from Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, the second mixing upbeat Andrews Sisters songs with the harsher realities of World War II. Sarasota Contemporary Dance: Dance Makers

Choral Artists of Sarasota: Marching to Freedom

Another choral ensemble concert, this one outdoors at 5 p.m. at Historic Spanish Point and dedicated to music touching on the long struggle for civil rights for African-Americans.
