Sarasota Masters Art Festival

Downtown Sarasota’s South Palm Avenue will be filled with white tents and a multitude of colors during the 4th annual Sarasota Masters Art Festival being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 4 and 5. The show will feature almost 100 of the nation’s finest artists presenting one-of-a-kind pieces in categories including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculpture, ceramics, fine jewelry and blown glass. Nick Danger: Third Eye

Larry Barrett, proprietor of Simply Gourmet, presents the national theatrical premier of Nick Danger: Third Eye, a parody of 1940's radio detective shows about hardboiled private detective characters such as Sam Spade and Phillip Marlowe. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays from February 8 through March 1, at the Powel Crosley Estate, 8374 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
